08/11 - 10:
Jeremy Renner in talks to be Snake Plissken etc

According to Production Weekly Jeremy Renner is in talks to be Snake Plissken in
the EFNY remake and the movie will start filming the first quarter in 2011.
Escape From New York Wants Jeremy Renner as Snake Plissken Movieweb
Jeremy Renner is the best choice yet, but I'm still VERY skeptical. All we
can do is to wait and see.
What else: The exclusive interview with John Carpenter from the Director's
Special Edition VHS and Laserdisc is back online. My
art page has also reached over 300 pics!
And for those who still haven't seen Escape From New Jersey please go ahead:
Parts: 1-4
27/09 - 10:
Updates
Since Escape From New Jersey is finished I decided to replace the news page
of it with news regarding Kim Gottlieb-Walker's book: "Behind the Curtain with
John Carpenter" instead. She was the still photographer in EFNY and she is
working on a book containing a lot of never before seen stills from EFNY etc.
Maybe you have missed this somehow. I have also updated my
EFNY Remake Page. Now it looks much better and informative.
26/09-10:
Brand new awesome Prince of Darkness Fansite!

Prince of Darkness is definitely one of John Carpenter's more underrated
movies. For me it's a movie that just keeps getting better and better every time
you see it and I'm glad to have found a fansite for it. Many thanks guys! Check
it out!
23/09 - 10:
Interview with Gayle Bykowicz, updated deleted or never filmed stuff, new Snake
site etc.

Gayle Bykowicz is the author of the unique site:
Snake
Plissken vs. Solid Snake. Of course I had to do an interview with her. I
really recommend everyone to read it. Gayle is very personal and this makes it a
great read.
And here's something that have occupied my time a couple of days now. I
found an old email from mightymctfr recently regarding deleted scenes and stuff
and realized I had a lot of more work to do. I decided to do a major update on
deleted or never filmed stuff from EFNY/EFLA etc. I now have a separated
Deleted Scenes
page located in the Multimedia area. I also have two new pages located in the
Press area: Deleted or Never Filmed
Stuff and Alternate Versions. Not
too shabby, huh?
Two slightly older articles/interviews with Kurt Russell regarding the EFNY
remake are also added in the Escape From New York
Remake Page.
A comment on Debra Hill is also now featured in my
Comments and Introduction page along with
other minor additions.

And Joe Thornton has finally decided to give me the Plissken Award. It's a
true honor. Better late than never. Thanks. Also, don't forget to check out HIS
new
Escape From New York Page. Very nice Joe.
06/08 - 10:
EFNJ Part 3 & 4 Online, Interview with Titania Le Fay, EFNY Blu-Ray review
and info, EFNY remake updates, Kim Gottlieb-Walker's new book.
Here we go:
Part 3
Part 4
Escape From New Jersey is completed! Both part 3 and 4 are up on the tube. It
has been a great pleasure watching these episodes. The last part of part 4 is
really something. Again, thanks Chris, Hector and all the others involved making
this fine homage. I'd suggest that you go to Blinky Productions
Donations
& DVD's page and get yourself a copy. It has all four parts edited together,
original episode chapters, bloopers, trailers, commentary and other Blinky
trailers. What are you waiting for?

My series of fan interviews has now also come to none other than Titania Le Fay.
She is running the
Call Me
Snake Journal Page and is the author of MANY Snake Fan Fiction stories. Want
to know what makes her tick. Check it out! I admire your devotion Titania and
thank you for letting me interview you.

Then we have the new US Blu-Ray version of EFNY out in stores. I have added info
and a review of it in my Items - DVD/Blu-Ray page.
Sadly there's no extras whatsoever, but it has got an all-new high definition
transfer that makes this disc the best looking version available. Find out more
in the review. I wonder in what format they will release EFNY next year. I think
I'll stick to my beautiful SE DVD.
A little update from Breck Eisner is also added in my
News - EFNY Remake page. He talks about the
limitations John Carpenter had on EFNY and how he will do things bigger, better
and cooler. It can be bigger perhaps, but in terms of better and cooler forget
it man. I seriously, seriously doubt that.

And here's info on the lovely Kim Gottlieb-Walker's (Still Photographer on EFNY)
new book:
Kim’s first book, “Bob Marley and the Golden Age of Reggae,” will be published
in September, 2010, by Titan Press in London. It’s available for pre-order now
at
Amazon,
Barnes&Noble, and
Borders.
By the way, here's also some updates about her John Carpenter book from herself:
"I am actually meeting with Malek Akkad next week about getting the book off the
ground...so keep your fingers crossed! And if my Marley book does well, Titan
will be glad to publish the Carpenter book."
So there you have it. Pre-order a copy NOW!
17/07 - 10:
EFNJ Part 2 Online, EFNY Shooting Locations Revealed.
Escape From
New Jersey Part 2
Part 2 is here and it is a very entertaining ride. Carjack Malone and Texas
Mike O'Shay are introduced and there's a lot of fun and great things going on.
Hector De La Rosa (Snake), Chris .R. Notarile (Director) and all the other
actors does a great job. Bring on part 3! Also, thank you for mentioning me on
the special thanks credits. Very appreciated!
And Stephen Manley (Bankok Rules) has revealed the two unknown shooting
locations of where Cabbie parked his cab and where Broadway was filmed. Go to my
on my "Shooting Locations" Page and find out
more. Thanks a lot Stephen!
13/07 - 10:
Interview with Joe Thornton, French EFNY
Édition Collector
DVD Photos, EFNJ Part 2 Teaser Trailer
My series of fan interviews has come to Joe Thornton. Joe is one of the
moderators over at SnakePlissken.Net and every hardcore fan online knows who he
is. He's a very passionate expert and contributor on everything about Snake and
he's been a great help to many of us. Thank you Joe.
And here's something for all of you who haven't bothered to buy a region free
coded DVD player or purchased the French EFNY
Édition Collector
DVD. If you're a big fan of the movie you
really should own a copy. However, I took the liberty to grab some screenshots
of all the great photos featured in this DVD so a larger amount of Snake fans
can enjoy them. I never would have done this if this title was still in print. I
even sended the DVD company an e-mail if I could get permission to use them, but
I didn't received any reply. I will remove them if you ask me to. I have clearly
marked which ones who is featured in this DVD on my
Behind the Scenes Photos page and
Publicity/Production Stills/Photos page etc.
Enjoy!
And here's the teaser trailer for Escape From New Jersey Fan Movie Part 2. I
like it alot.
24/06 - 10:
EFNY Remake News!
Three new articles are posted on my EFNY remake page. Breck Eisner seems to be a
competent director who wants to make something very familiar and different at
the same time. He also want to have a more current social commentary. Sounds
pretty good. There is also a possibility that Breck Eisner will chose Timothy
Olyphant as Snake.
13/06 - 10:
Exclusive interviews with Hector De La Rosa and Chris .R. Notarile!
Thank you for letting me interview you guys. Appreciated.
Hector De La Rosa (Snake Plissken in Escape From New Jersey)
Chris .R.
Notarile (Director of Escape From New Jersey)
08/06 - 10:
Escape From New Jersey Online! Escape From New York 1.5!
IT'S ONLINE!
Chris .R. Notarile's Escape From New Jersey is without a doubt the best Snake
fan movie I've ever seen. It's a big leap from his earlier fan movie Escape Big
Trouble in New Jersey. It stays true to the universe of Snake Plissken and
Hector De La Rosa (Snake himself) didn't let me down. He's the guy for the job.
I really look forward to part 2. Many thanks to the makers of EFNJ. You keep our
beloved anti-hero alive and kicking. Chris also put up a fun blooper reel on
YouTube.
Check it out.
Believe it or not this is not all. Hector De La Rosa (yes Snake Plissken in EFNJ)
has been a busy guy. He also posted eight chapters of something called Escape
From New York 1.5 on his site:
Escape from New York's ultimate fan page. It's a complete rewrite of Escape
From New York and Mike McQuay's EFNY Novel! There's a lot of new stuff added and
fleshed out that adds several more layers to the story. Hector fills the gaps
perfectly and adds another dimension to the story. I won't spoil anything here,
but I guarantee you'll be surprised. Hector has really put a lot of effort and
devotion to this and it shows. His passion for EFNY and Snake is tireless and
admirable and I have to salute him. I can't wait to read more.
30/05 - 10:

New York remake on the front page just in case if they happen to stumble in
here. Who knows?

Alternate Versions" Page: Added two confirmed deleted scenes from EFLA from

Updated "Multimedia - Videos" Page: Stephen Barber (AKA
Slugkiller1) has posted the whole The Making of EFLA on MegaUpload for download.
Thanks again. Added a video from Duke Nukem 64 where Snake is featured in an
easter egg. Almost all videos have been saved by me. Tired of seeing videos come
and go. If they get deleted or something, I'll upload them myself. The John
Carpenter interview from the SE EFNY VHS and SE Laserdisc is soon uploaded by
Revok again by the way. Fan Music Videos have been taken away.
These videos comes and goes, and they seem
to violate copyright laws. You're better off looking for them yourself on
YouTube etc.
