Movies, pictures, fan faction, new in memoriam page, John Carpenter Forum etc.

Hi there.

I've finally started to work on getting my site easier to find on the search engines. I don't know why I haven't done this earlier. A bit lazy I suppose. I want more people to get in touch, send me stuff and write in my guestbook.

Then I found some cool EFNY related videos on the very great and addictive site "YouTube". I thought, why not link to them on a page here for you to enjoy. So I did and some can you even download. Check them out in my "Multimedia - Movies/Trailers/Music Videos" page.

"The John Carpenter Forum" reported me in my guestbook (?) that they exist and that they have a recent interview with John Carpenter. In the interview Carpenter says that the reason for the slow Snake projects is because of Debra Hill's death.

The "Call Me Snake" site has also a new Snake story for you "When Love and Hate Collide". It takes place after EFLA and focus on Snake and Brazen. Check it out in the "Press - Fan Fiction" page. I also discovered 32 new Snake stories (yes you heard right) in FanFiction.Net. They are written by Titania Le Fay. Make yourself some coffey and get ready to read. Impressive.

A new in memoriam page is also located in the "Press" section. They will always be missed.

Some cool new pics is also added. As always, you have to find them yourself.

I also met Stefan Bommelin (Author of the closed site "Assault on Website 13") on The Scandinavian Sci-Fi, Game & Film Convention in Stockholm. He was talking about his film "Overkill" and low budget filmmaking with his Branbomm Film production team. I told him I  missed his site and that I want it back. He told me he was too busy with film projects etc. Please email him and tell him to get it back.

Over and out.

The art page reaches over 100 pics!

By coincidence I came across a very nice site called "DeviantART". It's the largest art community in the world and I found some great new Snake art. My art page now have over 100 pics and it's great to see that people keeps drawing Snake. I just wonder why I always have to find them. I've had some contributors but I would like to see more people send me stuff.  Anyway, enjoy.

Escape From Earth just a rumour.

John Carpenter says: ESCAPE FROM EARTH is an idea we had several years ago, but it never really got any further than that." When AICN asked him if he'd met at Paramount, he just laughed. "Nope".

What a disapointment.

08/08 - 06:
Are Carpenter and Russell preparing Escape From Earth? Kim Gottlieb-Walker exhibit dates etc.

Bloody-Disgusting reports:
According to an anonymous scooper John Carpenter and Kurt Russell are preparing a third movie with Paramount. Apparently, Carpenter completed the screenplay eight years ago and Russell is damanding to do it before signing on a three picture deal with the studio. Read more here.

This is good news!!! I really hope this isn't a rumour. Boy am I excited. Wow!!! Go Carpenter! Go Russell!

Also, Kim Gottlieb-Walker (still photographer of EFNY etc) will display two exhibits at the World Science Fiction Convention in Anaheim California August 23-27, 2006.
They are called: Behind the Scenes with John Carpenter and Photos of Science Fiction and Fantasy Creators. Be there.

I could just leave you happy here but there is a new EFNY T-Shirt available for purchase in my new "Items-Clothes" page and more pics have also been added.

Hold your thumbs everyone.

Lot's of stuff for you

First I have 18 new EFNY photos for you in the "Multimedia - Memorabilia & Collectibles - Photos" page. It's a little  shame that all of them have "moviegoods.com" written on them but what can I do. You can currently purchase them on their website or Ebay (without anything written on them).

Then I decided to steal The Denizens of L.A. pics at "TheOfficialJohnCarpenter.com" (I have permission. Thanks again). He also has lot's of great storyboard pictures of EFLA but adding them all would take me a very long time so I decided to just link to them in my "Multimedia"  page. Everything didn't get filmed so it's interesting to view them. Snake wears a normal shirt for some reason in the beginning?

What's next? Believe it or not, I've found a Snake Plissken Music Video! It features clips from the movies with music from
Chimaira's "Army of Me". It's done by a guy called Nicholas J. Michalk and looks very good. The music intervenes nicely with the clips. Check it out in my "Multimedia - Movies" page.

Ever wanted to own the groovy Snake boots? Well now you can. "Motorcowboy.com" are selling costum made boots of these (but where is the metal plate?). They are not cheap but you would be king.

I also found a cool canvas poster print of Snake from EFNY on Ebay from a place called "LA Artwork". I've added it on my "Items - Posters" page. It's done by Yuri and looks very nice. The price is also right. I've already ordered my copy.

Also, my friend and contributer Joe Thornton from the U.S. sended me a very cool picture of Snake and Ash by Tone Rodriguez. Then he sended me a neat wallpaper done by himself. See these here: "Multimedia - Art, Wallpaper" pages.

It just goes on! A guitar tab for the EFNY Theme can also be downloaded in the "Multimedia - Music/Sounds" page.

Some new pictures has also been added. Enjoy.

Snake Journal, Dark Star site, Snake Plissken Chronicles Volume 1, pics.

Hi everybody! Been eating haggis in Scottland recently in case you're wondering.

First some bad news: The collected volume of Snake Plissken Chronicles seems to have been cancelled! The future doesn't look good for this comic book.

The good news: I recently found an interesting journal site called "Call me Snake". It has an interesting fanfiction take on Snake's timeline and many other stories. Check it out.

Then I managed to find a Dark Star site! I never thought I would but I did. It's not particularly loaded with stuff but It'll do just great. It features instructions how to build a Dark Star Spaceship paper model etc! Check it out here.

Some pics have also been added but you have to search for them yourself as usual. It's more fun that way, don't you agree?

News from Kim Gottlieb-Walker

Kim Gottlieb-Walker (Still Photographer of EFNY etc) is currently working on a book called "Behind the Curtain with John Carpenter" which will have never-before-seen photos from Escape from NY with John's commentary. You can email her if you want to know when it's published here: Kim@lenswoman.com

She will also be displaying many behind the scenes photos at World Con in Annehaim California this summer.

I also got permission to use her very nice EFNY photos in my "Multimedia -
Memorabilia/Collectibles - Photos/Stills page" from her site: www.Lenswoman.com Be sure to check them out.

I also got an email from a very cool guy called: Richard Byrne. You may have seen him in my Snake wannabee page. He sended me another great pic of him during the DragonCon convention. This is why I decided to write the real names of some of the Snake wannabess. I couldn't locate every name so if you know more please email me.

06/04 - 06:

You see, back already.

This may be old news for you but I just discovered that the fan movie: Escape Big Trouble in New Jersey is finished and online. I have added it on my new "Multimedia - Movies" page. It's a little cheesey but I liked it.
Thank you very much Chris for showing us your affection for EFNY, BTILC and John Carpenter. Nice.

Pics and updates

I really feel bad I haven't updated for over 4 month. I appologize to you all. I won't leave you but sometimes I need to distance myself from it. I have worked very hard with it and it's very time consuming having a website so I hope you understand. I will update much more often though. Be so sure.

Well what have I done then? Ebay is currently selling 16 miniature buildings from Escape From New York. They're a bit overpriced but it would be nice to have one. You can check them out in the "Multimedia - Props/Replicas" page. Also visit the "Multimedia - Clothes"and "Multimedia- Behind the Scenes" etc for more cool pics. I even found a new Snake Wannabee.

I have also added the EFNY UMD to my "Items - DVD/UMD" page. Better late then never.

I also stumbled across Kim Gootlieb-Walker's Website. She was the Still Photographer on Escape From New York, The Fog, Halloween 1+2 and Christine etc. Take a visit and see some really cool photographs (including behind the scenes pics!). I have emailed her and asked her if she would like to do a little interview or something. We'll have to wait and see. I also found some more great behind the scenes pics of Kelli Cole (the Unit Publicist of Escape From New York) on a website called: darklingdesign. Enjoy.

Take care you all:
- Andreas.
