    : News/Updates

31/12 - 03:
EFNY Novel Page, new item page etc.

The EFNY Novel Page have been updated and there is a new page for the French EFNY SE DVD. I added it because it got some interesting stuff and so that you can compare it to the other ones. There's also pictures (some very nice on the set photos) and reviews (in French unfortunately) and other suff on this page so please take the liberty to explore this DVD on English for the very first time! There's also some more info on the other DVD pages.
And here comes some sad news: I'm almost out of webspace! I hate this! I'll have to go easy on the pics for a while and try to solve this problem somehow. There's also some new screenshoots.

Also:

26/12 - 03:
Misc.

Kim August (author of I Know I'm Human) tells us that EFNY is going to be shown at the
Walter Reade Theater in NYC this Friday, Saturday and Sunday. Click here for more info.
Also, Acclaimed artist Drew Struzan will provide the cover illustration for the collected first four issues of the Snake Plissken comic.

I've also fixed some small annoying errors on the site and some other small things. Don't be afraid to report errors if you find one, I'd love to have them fixed.

25/12 - 03:
The EFNY Novel Page etc.

The EFNY Novel page is up but there's still much to add. My good friend Joe Thornton are keeping me posted and I will comtinue to add info. There's lot of interesting info here, writer Mike McQauy tells us his version of what happened in Leningrad, How Snake lost his eye, What brought so many criminals etc. I still haven't read the book but it sound really interesting, it gives us a little deeper look at the Snake universe. Hope you'll enjoy this new page. Go to the "Press" section to check it out.
Also, all the text oriented pages have been modified to fit the page better as you may have seen. This took some time so I hope you'll appreciate my effort.

Also - Merry Christmas to you all!

21/12 - 03:
Back again, again.

I've added some new pics and two new pages on the "Multimedia - Memorabilia/Collectibles" section.

Here are the pics:
Japanese EFNY CD
The EFNY Script
Leather Bound Script for Isaac Hayes: 1. 2. 3. 4. (I don't know if this is a common thing to do but this seems is a goodbye present to Isaac Hayes. It's also signed by Larry J. Franco, Debra Hill and John Carpenter.)
An EP with Escape From New York written on. Music by Lick.
Kurt and John On the Set
.

There's also eight new photos on my new "Photos" page located in the "Multimedia - Memorabilia/Collectibles" section. The other new page is called "Script". It feature the Isaac Hays script and a regular one and a signed one.

Also, I have begun working on the Novel Page featuring many interesting facts so come back soon.

21/12 - 03:
Back again.

The official Snake Plissken videogame site is up! But you can only registrate yourself to a forum at the moment, I hope it grows larger in the future. The game is going to be called "Snake Plissken's Escape" and it looks like it's gonna be a real cool game but it will take more than a year until it will be released so don't be in a hurry. I don't mind waiting, just the knowledge of a Snake Plissken videogame coming out is enough.

19/12 - 03:
The second installment of the day.

I couldn't help myself. I've added reviews for the two region 1 EFNY DVDs and the expanded soundtrack. They all have five each and I while doing this I couldn't help stealing a couple of their screenshots. Look them up in the "Multimedia - Screenshots" page.
Also, check out the EFNY SE DVD page in the "Items - DVD" page to see some new screenshots from the "Return to Escape From New York" featurette on the DVD plus some more. They were found at "Horrordvds.com"
Also, here's the official website for the DVD.

19/12 - 03:
New Snake Fact Page and a lot of various stuff.

I'm sorry I didn't do anything special on the EFNY release date, I couldn't come up with anything cool and I have working on the page. It has arrived folks, the DVD of the year, millenium is here in a 2 disc Special Edition version it truly deserves. BUY IT NOW!

I also want to say that I have a new Snake Fact page located in the "press" section. I had thought about having one before but somehow it didn't got made. It wasn't until recieved an email from my new friend Joe Thornton from USA I decided to make one. I asked him if he had any suggestions and he told me he liked the site just as it is but would love to see some kind of Snake info page. He also sended me a bunch of interesting facts from the EFNY novel. I'm thinking about using them in some kind of EFNY novel page. We'll see. I hope you'll enjoy theSnake Fact page, it's nothing spectacular but I think it got the most important stuff.

Also, the "press - info" page have been updated, I found a page called EOFFTC (The Encyclopedia of Fantastic Film and Television) with some interesting info. I have also added some more things myself and updated it. But there's more, the whole "press" section has new suitable pictures and the articles from the Official John Carpenter Page on the "article" page has been added much properly. There is also a new fan fiction story called "Escape From Indianapolis" on the "Fan Fiction" page. It's a short one but interesting and it works as a prequal to EFLA. Check it out!

There's also a new interview with William O'Neill on the "News - Snake Plissken Chronicles" section and I've added the cover artists name in the "Items - Comics" page.

There's also three new screenshots added and here's a miniature building used in EFNY.

Enjoy!

12/12 - 03:
Proud owner of the EFNY SE DVD! Fan Fiction.

It's true! Don't be jealous, you're time will come. I manage to get hold of it through connection with a local DVD store right here in Sweden. It's almost everything you've hoped for, I thought there was some things missing but to finally see the deleted scene is worth the price alone. And I sure wasn't let down, it's everything you've hoped for and even more, a really fantastic scene (along with a newly recorded score and a commentary track). It's soo wonderful to have finally seen it and soon you will too. The rest is gold too and the DVD kase is the most beautiful thing I've ever seen, I can't take my eyes of it. I don't want to spoil anything more for you, there is a lot I want to talk about the DVD but I don't want to give away everything and spoil the experience for you. A must own DVD. I am drooling.

Also, I took a look at my old escape archive earlier this day and found two new fan fiction stories.  They're both pretty short but very nice. The first is called "Plissken and Hellman: A Minor Episode" and is written by Kirk Howard Hazen the same great guy who gave us the fantastic "Kansas City, Four Years Ago" The other one is called "Pipeline's most Bitchin' Encounter" and is written by someone called Kyla. I remember downloading them from the old The Films of John Carpenter site (been down for a while) What is going on Patrick Kerr?

The stories can be found in the press section.

Take care.
- Andreas.

09/12 - 03:
Back allready. EFNY SE DVD section!

I have finally added a section for the EFNY SE DVD on the "Items" section. You can get a peak at the special features menu, read all about the DVD and check out some other related pics. Enjoy.

There's aslo five new screenshots in the "Multimedia - Screenshots" section. Can you find them?

09/12 - 03:
Ebay items, pics etc.

I recieved a mail from a guy called The Rai regarding EFNY items on ebay recently. I had seen them allready but I wouldn't dream of buying them cause they're very expensive. He sell two matte paintings done by director James Cameron (Fun fact: James Cameron was the matte artist and special effects director of photography for Escape From New York if you didn't know) Have a look and compare his drawing and the final result:

Another one can be found in the new section "Matte Paintings" in the "Multimedia" section.

He also sell an acedemy add and a miniature set (used in the movie). Cool stuff but way too expansive.

Also, here's another version of the original EFNY poster. (The yellow rating add is the only thing that is different from the original one).

Also, The Kurt Russell Scrapbook is operating again, this time with a sweet surprise. They have added an Escape section called "Snake Escapades". Some of the sections is still not operational but I get so happy seeing more Snake related sites and stuff growing on the internet. Thank you very much.

27/11 - 03:
Snake Plissken Chronicles, EFNY SE DVD reviews and pics.

Snake Plissken is cousing controversy in issue #3 where he gets to re-enact the Kennedy shootings on the anniversary of his death. Read what Hurricane has to say about this in their latest press release and see some pics from the magazine in The John Carpenter Website.

And some lucky bastards have been fortunate to review the EFNY SE DVD.
Bill Chambers for Film Freak Central and 03/11 - 03:

Me and my Snake Plissken stand-up. Plus more.

While browsing around Ebay one day I found a stand-up figure of Snake Plissken. I didn't hesitage a second and bought it on the spot, opportunities like this doesn't show up every day. He seems to enjoy it here, he listens to ABBA, drives a Volvo, loves swedish meatballs and enjoys watching Ingmar Bergman films with me.
Anyway here's me posing with Snake:

Note: The last picture is a Swedish intern joke.

And here's the rest:
I've added two new sections, one in the "Multimedia -

Pics and some more.

First, here's a magazine called Video Store Magazine with an exclusive cover from the upcoming EFNY SE DVD. And here's an add for the upcoming DVD, and here's a tattoo they use to promote the upcoming DVD.

It's very nice to see EFNY beeing treated this way but I guess it's a way to introduce Snake to a new generation.I hope Snake gets the attention he deserves and I hope you'll do your best to support him.

There's also a bunch of pics but I feel a bit lazy today to write them all down so I recommend you to visit the following pages: autographs, tribute pics, lps, magazines, VHS and action figures.

30/08 - 03:

Namco Hometek Inc "Tekken," "Pac Man" is going to launch the videogame that will hit us Christmas 2005. It's a long time to wait but it seems to be a really cool game, John Carpenter, Debra Hill and Kurt Russell is going to help them develope the game. Nothing is said about the look of the game or what platforms they are developing for but if you want to know more please read this article: John Carpenter's "Snake Plissken'' Goes Interactive.

Out of print info:

Hi there. I have collected info about the EFNY Boardgame, EFNY Collector's Edition LD, EFNY Director's Cut VHS, EFNY Novel and The Adventures of Snake Plissken comic book. This info can be found on the "multimedia - Collectibles/Memorabilia" section for all you interested.

Hope you'll find it useful. Thank me by signing my guestbook.

24/07 - 03:
Nobody is signing my guestbook!

I've been working over five years with this site so some nice words wouldn't be so bad. I'm not forcing you but I would be very happy.

Also, what do you think about the new Snakepic on the left? It's almost the same as the other one but I wanted to fill out the blanks. Do you think I should keep it?

Also, three new pics:
Snake Tattoos
Japanese EFNY Poster
Glider Vision

19/07 - 03:
And more bigger.

I've added a new section called "Music/Sounds" section on the "Multimedia" section. It got some cool remixes but they're linked to other sites because my free webhost service doesn't support mp3. I've also added one link to "AOW13" EFNY sound page and another to "TheOfficialJohnCarpenter" if you want to have some cool sounds from the movie. I don't want to be a bad boy and steal everyone.

Anyway, enjoy.

18/07 - 03:
The EFNY Page grows a little bigger!

There was some things I always had in mind to add. There is a new section in the "Multimedia" section called "Tribute Pics" It only have four pics but I thought it would be nice to have pics that one way or another was inspired by EFNY. There is also three new sections in the "Press" section called "Info", "Movie Facts/Bloopers" and "Misc Quotes" The info in these are taken mostly from IMDb etc. I personally don't like people that are dissecting a movie to find bloopers but I thought - what the heck.

Here's
a new wallpaper by Elekro.

Enjoy.

16/07 - 03:
EFNY French SE DVD!

No piece and quiet. The New Kurt Russell Page reports a new EFNY SE DVD! Here it is:

Why are they teasing me, shell I get this one or wait for the other or buy both? It features a commentary track by John Carpenter, a documantary, a featurette, an interview with John Carpenter, scene analyses, a photo gallery, story-boards, teasers etc The notorious Train/Bank Robbing scene doesn't seem to include but I am really starting to drool. For more info click here.

Sweet irony.

16/07 - 03:
Finally back.

The computer broke down again and I was so happy. I'll tell ya folks, for a minute or so I was notisfied that all content had been erased. Not a pleasent moment. Fortunately it was a missunderstanding. Anyway, this led to a new harddrive so this wont happen again, I hope.

First I want to send a message to a buddy called Don who sent me a very nice Snake Plissken Timeline (which I lost from my unorganized e-mail account). "Please send it to me again Don".

I discovered a new Snake Plissken site yesterday and I was very thrilled to see it, the more Plissken/EFNY/J.C. sites the better. The site is called "SnakePlissken.Net" and is created by Matt Housten and Alize. The page is not really finished but Matt promise to keep adding stuff so this is a site to keep your eyes on in the future. Check it out!

What about the comic book?
I have finally added a comic book section on the "Items" section. I will constantly follow and add the releases here etc. I have also updated the "News - Snake Plissken Chronicles" section with some more news. Enjoy.

And finally some pics:

Oh, and here's a pic of all the EFNY Pressbook Stills.

04/05 - 03:

John Carpenter's Snake Plissken Chronicles Promo Poster
And finally a small screenshot of Snake meeting Brain.

20/02 - 03:
Anime news, sad news, pics & New Wallpaper section.

More anime news has showed up so I felt it was time to reorganize these individual pages on the news section. I saw that The John Carpenter Website had done this and I felt it was a good idea. The only real difference between his and mine is that I only focus on facts. All of these sections have been updated with the latest news. Why don't you have a look.
And now comes some sad news The Un-official Snake Plissken Page is down, creator Brendan Payne says he didn't update it often and didn't wanted to bother with it anymore. Very, very sad, first The Snake Plissken Page and now The Un-official Snake Plissken Page. What's going on? We need more Snake Plissken sites not less.
  And now the pics:

Screenshots: (These great screenshots were lost when the computer broke down for over two weeks, I found them again but it sure wasn't easy so be grateful. All the screens are in remeniscence of the World Trade Center in films, in this case Escape From New York). More WTC movie pics etc can be found here.

I've also found the whole Spanish Lobby Card set including a very interesting one. I have reason to believe that this one is taken from the deleted "Bank robbery/Train" scene. Have a look. You can check out the other ones in the Multimedia - Memoribilia/Collectibles - Lobby Cards section. Enjoy.
Oh, and here is a signed EFNY Video poster.

But there is more, I've also added a new section for wallpapers. Check out the multimedia section.

24/01 - 03:
EFNY remixes and some pics.

A guy called John T. Chance have done some techno remixes of the EFNY soundtrack. These tracks are named "Snake Plissken Mix" and "Duke Mix", sounds cool huh... it is not. I don't like techno, I love synth but I really dislike techno. But that's me. You may like it. Click on the banner above to find out.

09/01 - 03:
Andreas Johansson's Escape From Freewebs.

Just when things was starting to go my way my ex webhost told me that I could only have 50 files on my site. Isn't this a bummer, having uploaded over 1500 files one by one without beeing notisfied. I've had a similar experience and I wasn't too keen on doing it again, having spend over five years now and then making this site. I deserve to have it online.
The only negative about my new host is that it contains pop-up banners (why my other webhost is add free is a mystery) but I prefer having pop-up's than having a big banner glued on the site. Otherwise I have no complaints. Finding a good free webhost that suits you is very, very rare - trust me I know.
But let us all forget about this and move on, hopefully I'll stay here for a while maybe not, this is something I cannot control so stop worry and be grateful for every minute it's online.

"You're rules are really beginning to annoy me!" -Snake Plissken

03/01 - 03:
Hurricane Entertainment interview and some pics.

It's about time an interview showed up about the upcoming "Snake Plissken Chronicles". I found this  interview at "Fanboy Planet.com" beeing the third part of an interview with Bill O'Neil and Tone Rodrigues.
This interview took place in september so it's a bit old but it's interesting to hear their thoughts about the project. Click here to read it.
