Comments from Hector De La Rosa:

"
EFNJ will be a tough process indeed, I drove an hour to do a re-shoot of a a scene that only lasts 16 seconds. But getting Snake right is as important to me, as it is to all of you. The first day when shooting began was windy as hell and it was a very bad hair day for Snake. However, it was a really nice day in Jersey today, sunny and perfect for filming. The scene re-shoot in my opinion came out very nice and has a little EFNY deleted scene flavor to it."

"As far as visuals go, there are a lot of creepy places that we will be shooting in. Places where you don't really want to walk around at night. And there are also very futuristic looking places that will be weaved in to make that world look convincing. We hope."

"I will try to honor all of you with a performance worthy of the original. I will play Snake as he is in Escape from New York and try to keep that essence alive for all of us who love him.
There will be a ton of surprises and trouble for Snake as he tries to escape New Jersey. Chris and I will try to match the look and feel of the original film, so that it looks like it could have been made back then and have it play out in a way that will have fans hungry for more!
We are just about ready to start filming, right after Thanksgiving to be exact. I cant wait, it is a dream come true for me to get to play my favorite character of all time. As far as liberties, I will play it very close to the hip, Snake is an attitude and I hope I can capture it. It will have my own personal stamp on it as I can never be Kurt Russell, but I really want people to do a double take when they watch it. If I can pull that off then I've done my job well. That's all I can hope for. I want to make Snake fans very happy with this series.
I hope the series goes a long ways and leads to other adventures for everyone's favorite anti-hero."

Comments from Chris R. Notarile:

"
As for what's going on, we plan to film next month hopefully. We're going to try and just make a cool series that lives in between New York and L.A. As for surprises, um, it will be filled with everything you love about snake and we might bring in a few familiar faces from the mythos. Hopefully we will get some more cash for this to keep it going, but right now, we're just focusing on the first part and if all goes well, we will keep it up."

A message from Hector:

"
If any of you live near Jersey City and can lend a hand, or know anyone that would want to be an extra in this film (Punks, Gang Members, Crazies etc...) please spread the word. There is no pay just screen time. We are also looking for someone with a black SUV. These other two will be a bit harder to acquire: A black Hummer, or a black Jeep with a removable top."

"If any of you have video equipment, or know how you can get some footage done, then do just that. The editing process can tie everything up nice and tight, you don't have to be on the same piece of dirt for some scenes.
Do any of you have USPF soldier outfits? Can you get them together? Can you film squads running around doing random stuff?
Are there places where you live that have a wall that looks like NY? Do you have access to military vehicles, via a friend or family member in the service? Maybe you know a place where they will let you film a few things?
Film Military Helicopters taking off, landing flying overhead anything that might look like it belongs.
Can you get a bunch of "crazies" together and shoot random scenes of them chasing, lurking, climbing coming out of sewers? Stuff like that. If you do and can get it done? Send the footage to us here and well use it somewhere in the series. Everything helps, it's the love we all have and contributions that will get this off the ground.
Even footage of yourselves, news conference, video conference. I can ask Chris if he would release some duologue for anyone of you to do, it would save time of course money and get snakeplissken, net involved. Lets give it a try and see if we can make this work somehow."

"If any of you have any ideas let us know. Do you want to see Snake fight again? etc..."
