    : News - John Carpenter's Escape From Earth

Current Status:
No signs of production. There was a  rumour recently saying that John Carpenter and Kurt Russell was preparing a third movie. Apparently Carpenter had completed a screenplay eight years ago and Russell was damanding to do it before signing on a three picture deal with Paramount. Sadly this was just a rumour.

Facts:
The possibilities of making a third part of the Escape film series was brought up by John Carpenter and Debra Hill when discussing the TV series (that never went off). If it would become popular a third part called "Escape From Earth" would be seriously reconsidered. Before this John and Debra had only talked about it. They have a story and John, Debra and Kurt are in but I doubt we'll ever see it. It would be a dream come true though.
